Marion-Union Gig has been established by Ohio Gig LLC to invest in bringing Fiber to the home and business throughout the Northern and Western portion of Union County and the majority of Marion County. Shortly after Ohio Gig established the the business Speedwavz operating member reached out to Ohio Gig about a potential merger.
In order to accelerate the establishment of the local business in the Marion-Union Gig coverage area, an investment in Speedwavz, dba Speedwavz Wireless and Speedwavz Fiber was made. As a demonstration in the belief of the business and the vision for the future Sam Beiler rolled a portion of his equity in Speedwavz into Marion-Union Gig.
Speedwavz brings experience and an established hybrid wireless-fibernetwork to the business. Speedwavz built its business on fixed wireless access services. In recent years BRESCO has transitioned itself to a Fiber-to-the-Residence and Business primarily by building fiber between its towers in northern Union County while placing access fiber to deliver Fiber-to-the-Home service using a Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) system.
Speedwavz is able to deploy Fiber-to-the-Site quickly and cost effectively along the76+ route miles it has already deployed passing over 610+ rural homes and businesses. Collectively as Marion-Union Gig, we will expand and accelerate the deployment of fiber throughout the coverage area to fulfill demand.
Speedwavz Fiber serves as Marion-Union Gigs initial go to market brand.
